Our Beliefs

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe the Bible is God-breathed and divinely inspired, wholly true and reliable, enduring without error or alteration.

(2 Timothy 3:16, 17)

THE ETERNAL GODHEAD

We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons who share the same divine essence, eternal existence, and perfect equality.

(1 John 5:7)

THE FALL OF MAN

We believe humanity was created in God’s likeness, but through deliberate disobedience fell into sin, passing a sinful nature and its effects to all people, resulting in separation from God’s intended purpose.

(Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12)

THE PLAN OF REDEMPTION

We believe that while humanity was still lost in sin, Christ gave His life on our behalf, shedding His blood to secure forgiveness for all who place their trust in Him.

We believe all people are sinners by nature and stand under judgment, but through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, God grants salvation and new life by the work of the Holy Spirit.

(John 3:16; Titus 2:14; Acts 8:15-17; Ephesians 2:1-3 and 8-9; Romans 3:23 and 5:8; Titus 3:5)

SALVATION THROUGH GRACE

We believe salvation is entirely the result of God’s grace and not earned through human effort, goodness, or merit.

(Ephesians 2:8)

REPENTANCE AND ACCEPTANCE

We believe that through genuine repentance and wholehearted faith in Christ, individuals are declared righteous before God because of Jesus’ sacrificial death.

(Romans 10:6-10; 1 John 1:9)

THE NEW BIRTH

We believe conversion brings a true and inward transformation; through Christ’s righteousness and the indwelling of His Spirit, believers experience renewed desires, priorities, and direction in life.

(2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20)

DAILY CHRISTIAN LIFE

We believe God desires believers to continually grow in holiness, sharing in His nature, and increasing daily in faith, spiritual strength, prayer, love, and service.

(2 Corinthians 7:1)

WATER BAPTISM

We believe baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is a vital act of obedience to Christ, publicly declaring His authority and lordship. Baptism by immersion represents an outward expression of an inward commitment.

(Matt. 28:19; Romans 6:4)

COMMUNION

We believe in the regular observance of the Lord’s Supper, partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine with faith and thanksgiving, remembering and celebrating the victory of Christ’s sacrifice.

(1 Corinthians 11:24-26)

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit equips believers with power to glorify Jesus, live holy lives, and boldly testify of God’s saving work. We believe this experience continues today in the same manner as demonstrated in the Early Church.

(Acts 1:5, 8; 2:4)

THE GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers to strengthen the Church through ministry and outreach, and that a Spirit-filled life is evidenced by spiritual fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

(1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22-25)

We believe in the Holy Spirit as a divine Person who proceeds from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Christ.

(Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26 and 15:13,16; Hebrews 9:14)

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer in Jesus Christ and remains as a constant helper, instructor, and guide.

(John 6:13; 14:16-17; 16:8-11; Romans 8:26)

We believe in the present-day work of the Holy Spirit and the active operation of all biblical spiritual gifts, exercised in accordance with the teaching of 1 Corinthians chapters 12–14.

HEAVEN

We believe heaven is God’s magnificent dwelling place and the eternal home prepared for all who are born again.

(John 14:2; Revelation 7:15-17)

HELL

We believe hell is a place of darkness, sorrow, and unending fire, originally prepared for the devil and his angels, and that it becomes a place of eternal separation from God for those who reject Jesus Christ as Savior.

(Matthew 13:41, 42; Revelation 10:10 & Ch15)

MODERATION

We believe a Christian’s life should reflect balance and self-control, evident to others, and that devotion to Christ should never result in extreme or unwise behavior; believers should reflect Christ’s humility, integrity, and sacrificial love.

(Colossians 3:12, 13; Philippians 4:5)

DIVINE HEALING

We believe divine healing is made available through the power of Jesus Christ in response to prayer offered in faith. Because He remains unchanging, He continues to heal body, soul, and spirit.

(Mark 16:17, 18; James 5:14-16)

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

We believe in the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ. The certainty of His coming, though the timing is unknown, motivates faithful evangelism. The Lord Himself will return from heaven, the dead in Christ will rise, and believers will be caught up to meet Him in the air.

(Matthew 24:36, 42, 44; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17)

TITHING AND OFFERINGS

We believe tithes and offerings are instituted by God to support His work, advance the Gospel, and bring blessing into the lives of believers.
